Depending on the area the improvements can last for up to 2 years and treatments can be repeated . Often you can see the tightening effect of the treatment straight after the procedure, however as collagen takes approx 2 months to reconstruct the full benefits can take up to 8 weeks. Depending of the laxity of the skin some clients may requite more than one treatment to gain the best results – however secondary treatments can not be carried out for 8 weeks .
How many treatments are required?
Individuals respond differently to this treatment and factors such as the existing condition of the skin need to be taken into account. If repeat treatments are desired clients must wait 8 weeks before retreating.

Women who are breastfeeding or are pregnant. This treatment is only recommended on Fitzpatrick Scales 1-3 .
Treatments around the eyes – eye lash extensions – must be removed before the treatment and not re- applied for 8 weeks. This prevents infection.
Day of treatmentOn the treatment day, arrive with no make-up on the treatment area.
We recommend using anti-histamine medication approx 30 mins before your apt – this will help to prevent excessive swelling.
Once your consultation is complete numbing cream will be applied to the area. When the area is numb, the session begins. During the treatment you will feel slight heat in the area, in general this is not too uncomfortable . The length of your treatment depends on which area being treated – small areas may take only 30 mins – larger areas 120 mins.
Immediately after treatment the area will be red and mildly swollen with small scabs and discolouration. You may experience a sensation similar to a sun burn which will likely last a few hours. After the procedure it is highly likely that the area will swell – this is part of the healing process, this can last for up to 5 days.
The crustations/discoloration should resolve within 3 -7 days depending on the individual and area treated. You will be able to see improvements in the treated area immediately. These improvements continue for up to 8 weeks. After the procedure there is a short period of downtime – although far shorter than the time needed after surgery.
After treatment you must follow that post procedure care advice which will be given at the time of your consultation. This will ensure that you achieve optimum results.
